It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon when wedding guests enjoyed a cocktail reception outside at the Foxchase Manor. The Ceremony for this spectacular wedding took place in Small Ballroom; the 120 guests listened to the music from a live harpist, Kate Rogers, during the ceremony. They had a cocktail hour in the entry hall. There was a wishing tree table where the guests could write wishes for the happy couple and hang them on the tree.
The Grand Ballroom was the site for the lavish reception. Monet Wedding Flower were responsible for transforming the entire wedding and reception with their gorgeous flowers. Windows Catering did an outstanding job on the scrumptious food. Some of the fabulous items on the dinner buffet were Mesquite Smoked & Black Pepper Crusted London Broil, Chicken Picatta, Grilled Norwegian Salmon, Penne Pasta w/ Mushroom Sauce, Grilled Californian Asparagus and plum tomatoes and an arugula and almond salad.
The Small Ballroom also had a Chocolate fountain from Capitol Chocolate Fountains and a candy station. Windows also did an incredible job on the Wedding Cake which had sugar sculptures as toppers to each layer. The band Touch Bassist kept everyone on the dance floor! Jackie from Wedding Story was the planner and did a phenomenal job.

This gorgeous wedding ceremony took place outdoors on the patio. A string trio entertained the 200 guests during the ceremony. The flowers for the ceremony were provided by the Flower Gallery of Manassas. The guests moved inside for a festive cocktail hour in the entry hall. The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom. The beautiful gold and purple decor, lighting and fun DJ were all planned by Dharma Events. A gorgeous wedding reception was held on a spectacular weekend in mid May at Rose Hill Manor. The "wine themed"reception featured beautiful purples and greens in the decor. Another fabulous wedding at Rose Hill Manor took place over Memorial Day weekend! The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony under the new pergola on the patio. The guests then came into the nicely air conditioned entry hall to enjoy delicious appetizers and drinks. The dinner followed with the announcement of the wedding party descending down the stairs to the balcony. The guests saw lavender table runners decorating the tables accented with gorgeous centerpieces with hydrangeas, tulips and roses. A buffet dinner featuring risotto and tenderloin was served in the light filled small ballroom. Dinner and dancing in the grand ballroom ended the night. Congratulations to the happy couple!

This stunning all day wedding featured a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in the morning, lunch, a three hour break and then a full reception.
50 guests attended the intimate morning ceremony. Sachi from Partyland created a beautiful mandap in the morning and transformed it into a stage for the evening reception. Bombay Bistro treated guests to a delicious lunch in the Small Ballroom after the morning ceremony. The bride was absolutely stunning in a pale pink sari embellished with crystals.

Pink, teal and purple were the colors of the decor which transformed the evening's decoration with a peacock theme. Dinner was served in the Grand Ballroom and DJ Hawk provided great music for the 200 guests to dance the night away to! Kashif Malik Photography captured the day in photos.

This fun Quincenera party treated 300 guests to help celebrate the birthday girl's 15th birthday. Yellow was the dominant color that created a beautiful decor throughout the event. The birthday girl wore a gorgeous yellow ball gown. America's Restaurant created a delicious dinner buffet in Small Ballroom. The 100 guests of this wedding reception were greeted with a cocktail hour in the entry hall. Chef's Table Caterer served white sangria coupled with spinach artichoke dip and sushi crab rolls. Sunflowers and daisies decorated the tables in the Grand Ballroom where the reception was held. The table numbers were personalized with different pictures of the couple. The wedding cake was beautiful and the groom's cake was a festive University of Kansas cake that represented the couple's alma mater. A yummy candy table was set out for guests to snack on while they danced the night away.

This wedding ceremony took place in the small ballroom. 100 guests witnessed the happy couple get married under a beautifully decorated arch. Hues of pink were evident in all the decor including the flowers. Heaven on Earth created incredible flower arrangements that transformed the room. Jamie from RSVP was the wedding planner and made sure every detail was perfect. The cocktail hour was held in the entry hall featuring a cotton candy martini with piece of cotton candy served as a garnish. Helga's Catering took over food in the Grand Ballroom which included two different buffet stations - one for adults and one for children. Personalized candy greeted each guest at their table which were the wedding favors. Cakes by Megan created the wedding cake which was a delicious blend of one layer of passion fruit and the next of cookies and cream. It was a fun and festive design of a princess castle. The wedding ceremony for this event was held on the outdoor patio on a beautiful day. The groom's brother officiated the lovely ceremony. The 150 guests were treated to drinks including 2 signature cocktails and appetizers in the expansive entry hall. R and R Catering provided the staff and scrumptious food for the cocktail hour and buffet dinner which was served in the Grand Ballroom. Howerton + Wooten Events planned this wedding and every detail was taken care of. The deejay kept the party going with dancing in the Small Ballroom. The dessert of a gorgeous blue and white wedding cake was accompanied by the Mario Brothers themed groom's cake added to the fun, festive feel of the wedding. Bubbles filled the air outside Foxchase Manor to send the happy couple on their way.

On Friday April 29th, we hosted an annual awards banquet for a local hospital. Foxchase Manor south was decorated in black and white with lime green floral arrangements. A rainy start to this day had the bride worried that the outdoor ceremony wouldn't happen. The skies cleared and the incredibly moving and beautiful ceremony took place with perfect spring sunshine under the new pergola on the patio at Rose Hill Manor. The guests were delighted to be able to enjoy this special day with the happy couple. Gretchen at Dragonfly Events created gorgeous floral arrangements that created a perfect setting for this perfect day. The tables were set with white cloths, teal and green ribbons and floral arrangments complete with orchids and hydrangeas. After the ceremony, the guests entered the entry hall for cocktails including two signature drinks, a blueberry martini and a mojito. The curtains were opened and the guests were invited to the grand ballroom for dinner where the bridal party were introducted and the first dances were held. Dinner was a buffet of delicious Peruvian food and desserts were scrumptious tarts in four flavors. The dancing in the small ballroom topped off the night!

A beautiful Spring Day at Rose Hill Manor was the setting for this spectacular wedding. Gretchen from Dragonfly Events was in charge of the design of the wedding including the gorgeous floral arrangements, the aqua and yellow color scheme, the banquet style tables and the stunning design outside for dancing under the stars complete with white leather couches. Carmen from C & G did a great job heading the staff for the event and helping the whole night go off without a hitch.

The late afternoon ceremony was held in front of the manor under the lush trees on a picturesque hill. The guests then came inside to the Entry Hall for cocktails after which they were seated in the banquet style tables for dinner. Dancing finished off the perfect evening. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

This past Saturday we held a wedding renewal ceremony and reception in our north ballrooms. The event began with the arrival of the 100 guests at 5pm and shortly after they were ushered into the small ballroom for the ceremony. The fireplace was decorated in candles and white hydrangeas which created a romantic backdrop for the bride and groom to renew their vows.

After the ceremony the everyone enjoyed appetizers and cocktails in the entry hall before proceeding into the grand ballroom for the reception. The guest tables were draped in teal satin linens and the centerpieces were red daisies surrounded by votives. For dinner guests dined on a dinner buffet consisting of African cuisine. It featured a carving station, barbecue chicken yassa, joll of rice, horseradish mashed potatoes, tropical fruit salad, and a dried cranberry and orange salad. After dinner the night went on with music and dancing.

Yesterday we hosted a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception in our north building. The 100 guests entered the small ballroom where the intimate wedding ceremony took place in front of a romantic backdrop. After the ceremony a cocktail hour took place in the entry hall where the guests were able to mingle before the reception began. The grand ballroom was decorated in hues of pink and brown for the reception. The guest tables were draped in chocolate colored linens with blush overlays with floral centerpieces that accented the color scheme. The bridal party sat at a beautifully decorated head table at the front of the room. We wish the happy couple a lifetime filled with happiness and joy.

On Wednesday we hosted the Prince William County Valor Awards which was put on by the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce. This event honors local public service workers for their outstanding job in protecting and helping our communities. This year we had close to 500 guests for the banquet. A professional bagpiper played as the guests arrived into the building. Once inside the guests dined on a wonderful plated meal by Kitchen Gourmet, as the honorees were awarded.

On March 11, 2011 a company had a celebration dinner at Foxchase Manor North. The guests enjoyed cocktail hour and passed hor' dourves catered by R&R Catering. They then made their way into the grand ballroom for speeches followed by a buffet dinner. The dinner included a pear and walnut salad, mixed veges with tortellini, Parmesan chicken and beef covered with a shallot sauce; all catered by R&R Catering. The room was decorated with blues and coppers (the company's colors) and the center pieces were candles. The guest enjoyed their dinner while listening to a smooth jazz band.

The evening started out with a beautiful ceremony outside on the patio at Foxchase Manor South. The inner chairs were lined with watermelon pink bows and flowers. Inside, in the grand ballroom, the tables where covered in cream linens with shear gold overlays. The centerpieces were bowls filled with pink beads and floating candles. After the ceremony the newly weds and the bridal party headed down to the Manassas Battlefields to get their pictures taken by the wonderful Classic Creations Photography. During the pictures, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour and passed hor' dourves, served by C&G Catering Creations, in the entry hall. When the bridal party arrived, the guests made their way into the grand ball room. The bride and groom then made their way to the head table. The Bride was wearing a beautiful A-line, lace dress that sparkled while the couple did their first dance. Shortly after the first dance, a plated dinner was served by Americas Restaurant. The new weds and the guests then danced the night away to the great music by JB DJs.

On Sunday, February 27, 2011 A couple celebrated their wedding at Foxchase Manor North. Karan from Yaadein Weddings set up an amazing 32 X16 triple layered mandap in under two hours. The up-lighting, with alternating colors, set the mood for the evening in the Grand Ballroom. Angeethi Catering set up an appetizer station in the entry hall and a grand buffet in the Small Ballroom both filled with Indian cuisine. The couple and their guests enjoyed all the food and music while they danced the night away.

FUN Services had a Dj, Caricatures and Balloon art as well! Dragonfly Events did some amazing table decor featuring linens from Cloth Connection, in house floral & lighting. Chocolate fountains came by way of the best - Capitol Chocolate Fountains! We had all sorts of companies and even some brides too! Thanks everyone!

Around 1 o' clock on Sunday February 20, 2011, Party Land Decor and Elegant Decor arrived to set up a wonderful Indian wedding. The stage was cover with ivory and red flowing fabrics and topped off with beautiful rose arrangements. The centerpieces alternated between tall golden branches with hanging crystals and vase with floating roses. As the guest arrived they were served appetizers in the entry hall. After appetizers, the 300 guests made their way into the grand ballroom to celebrate the Nikkah. During the Maghrib Prayer, the groom waited patiently to join his bride. The couple then met on stage to preform the traditional Kerala Ceremony. Following the ceremony, the guest begin to eat a wonderful dinner buffet set up by Ravi Kabob and serviced by C&G Catering Creations. Towards the end of the night speeches were made my friends and family members and then deserts were served. The night ended with pictures and social time.

On a beautiful night in February a couple joined hands at Foxchase Manor. The guest arrived around 6 o'clock and gathered in the small ballroom for the ceremony. After the romantic ceremony, the bridal party, bride and groom took pictures while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. As the band started to play music, friends and family made their way to the grand ballroom for the reception. After everyone was seated the bridal party was introduced followed by the bride and groom. In the small ballroom, Better Events Catering had three different buffet stations, pasta, salad and a carving stations. Following dinner the guests partied the night away while dancing to a variety of popular music and taking pictures in the photo booth. At the end of the night, the newly weds made their grand exit by leaving in a black antique limo. Overall the wedding was a very fun and upbeat event that everyone enjoyed.

On Saturday, December 18. 2010 around 200 guests gathered into our North Ballrooms to celebrate a corporate holiday function. Guests were welcomed into the entry hallway for some cheese and fruit platters as well as some passed snacks including pigs in a blanket, and meat stuffed puff pastries. A large bar and tall cocktail tables decorated in red and gold linens surrounded the hall.

Inside the grandballroom were tables with white hydrangeas and red rose centerpieces. Dark red linen with gold charges were at every place setting. The back of the room was decorated with tall, red drapings and a large Christmas tree decorated in white lights and ornaments. The fireplace was decorated with white lights and stockings.

Santa made a surprise visit and read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids and handed out gifts. Kids could get their photo with Santa and they were printed and framed on the spot for the families to take home.

Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner of green bean amandine, mashed potatoes, spiral spiced ham, sweet potato and praline casserole, herbed stuffing, and oven roasted turkey with homestyle gravy. For dessert guests enjoyed cake, cookies and an assortment of pies. A station with coffee and hot chocolate was setup on the side.

Thanks to R&R Catering for the food, and Classic Creations Photography for taking photos of the kids and Santa. Guests enjoyed the remainder of the evening by playing casino games like roulette and blackjack while others danced the night away!

On Saturday December 12th we held a beautiful winter themed wedding ceremony and reception in our North hall. As the 150 guests arrived festive luminaries lighted the entrance into the manor. Once inside guests enjoyed a hot cocoa bar before entering into the small ballroom for the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony a cocktail hour took place in the entry hall where guests were able to mingle while enjoying appetizers and beverages.
The reception took place in the grand ballroom and featured guest seating tables with black linens and red napkins along with centerpieces of white and silver birch branches with hanging roses and votives. Each table setting included wedding favors which were boxes of chocolate bark which tied in the winter theme of this wedding. For dinner stations were setup around the grand ballroom and included an Italian carbonara station with leek and pinenut green beans, a Spanish paella station, and a station with carved roast beef along with asparagus and garlic smashed potatoes. The wedding cake which was designed after an inside joke between the newlyweds, was served for dessert. The rest of the evening was spent dancing and celebrating the union of two wonderful people.

This evening we hosted a corporate End of the Year Party for over 100 guests. The guests arrived around 5:30pm and were greeted with appetizers and beverages in the entry hall before they entered into the grand ballroom for the rest of the festivities. This fun filled event included miniature golf and a quarterback game in the grand ballroom, and bingo in the small ballroom. The games and entertainment were provided by Fun Services. The guests sat at tables with red and white linens and candle centerpieces. For dinner American Catering presented the guests with BBQ chicken and pork that was served with coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad, and for dessert there was an assorted cookie display. Later in the evening different prizes were raffled off to many of the guests. The night ended with dancing and laughter among the coworkers.

Saturday, December 4, 2010 Rose Hill Manor hosted an exquisite corporate holiday party for around 120 guests. Guests were welcomed to the manor with the outside stairs decorated with small holiday trees in white lights. The entry hallway was setup with a tall bar, a photobooth provided by The Majestic Photobooth, a raffle prize table and passed hor d'oeuvres. Placecards featuring a horse drawn carriage silhouette were neatly displayed on a black & white canvas board which matched the table linens. Guests enjoyed music from classical guitarist, Christopher Dunn (http://www.chrisdunnguitar.com/).

Following cocktail hour guests moved into the ballroom which was elegantly decorated with three long rectangular tables with beautiful black and white linen and black napkins. Holly Chapple (http://www.hollychappleflowers.com/) provided an assortment of gorgeous tall and low floral arrangements. Tall branches with hanging crystals, little snowflakes and votive candles hung from the branches as well as smaller, burlap wrapped arrangements with whites and browns decorated the tables. Mercury glass votive candles and silver pillar candle stands with ivory candles decorated the centers of every table. With the dim lights and the beautiful floral arrangements, the room looked magical!

Guests enjoyed a plated dinner provided by Occasions Caterers led by Joel Wolke (202-454-7824; jwolke@occasionscaterers.com). Dinner was started off with a lobster bisque followed by a choice of fish or beef. Later, a beautiful dessert station was setup in the entry hallway which featured mini red velvet cakes; mini apple pies; and other assorted pastries and desserts. Occasions Caterers provided ultimate professional service. This was one of the best corporate events we have seen in a long time. The food, presentation and professionalism from the staff was outstanding!

Following dinner the company had a small awards ceremony where they awarded employees with plaques and gifts, along with their ultimate award - Employee of the Year. After the awards guests enjoyed a fun filled night of dancing and karaoke; casino games featuring black jack tables, roulette and craps; a photobooth for guests to take silly pictures in; and horse drawn carriage rides provided by Harmon's Horse & Carriage (http://www.harmonscarriages.com/). Guests had 'play' money to use on the casino games and were rewarded with tickets in which they could enter to win the raffle prizes. The prizes were awarded at the end of the night which some included a Flip video camera, an Amex gift card, Washington Capitals tickets, a kindle and many more great prizes! A beverage station was set in the entry hall where guests could get a take home cup full of white hot chocolate, hot chocolate, hot cider or coffee along with them on the carriage ride.

The evening was filled with great food, dancing and many laughs. We thank all the professionals who helped make this evening a great success. It was a gorgeous event. We wish everyone a very happy holiday and happy new year!!

On a beautiful winter night on December 4, 2010, 200 guests arrived to celebrate at a Corporate Holiday party. The guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the entry hall, with a table full of delicious appetizers. Following the cocktail hour the guests made their way into the Grand Ballroom where they danced, ate dinner (catered by R&R) and listened to a live singer. The ballroom was decorated with dark red linens and accented by gold napkins. The center pieces were candles and the fire place had a row of them as well. In the small ballroom was the buffet filled with delicious chicken, beef with shallot sauce, a asparagus and mushroom pasta and white cheddar mashed potatoes. The table was covered by a beautiful green table cloth and decorated with tall sparkly trees. Towards the end of the night the guests enjoyed a light dessert.

November 27, 2010 North Ballrooms

On Saturday, November 27, 2010, around 300 guests gathered to our North Ballrooms to celebrate a young girl's quincienera. Guests entered into the entry hallway which was setup with a large high top bar decorated in light green, sheer linen and tall gold chivari chairs surrounding. Different colored martini glasses with lights were decorated along the bar. Several high top tables with tall chairs surrounded the room along with a gift table decorated in sheer gold linen and a table with fruits and veggies decorated in sheer pink linen. Uplights accented the corners of the room.

After cocktails guests were welcomed into the grandballroom where tables were decorated in hot pink underlays with a gold swirly sheer overlay and hot pink napkins. A gold charger was at every place setting with a menu card on top. Table centerpieces were a mix of tall and short floral arrangements of casablanca and stargazer lilies along with pink and white roses and baby's breath. The room was filled with a wonderful scent from the fresh flowers.

The girl sat at a sweetheart table at the head of the room, under a big canopy setup of white and gold columns with pink and white linen, crystals and uplights. Her court sat on each side of her at a long table all decoreated in gold sheer linens.

The menu was a plated meal consisting of a tossed lettuce salad with tomatoes, carrots, cheddar cheese and ranch dressing; rib eye steak with brown sauce, chicken mushroom sauce, rice and vegetables and mini pastries for dessert. There was even chicken fingers, fruit and french fries for the kids menu. Also for dessert was a large cake with a fountain and pink butterflies as well as a Chocolate Fountain which was provided by Capital Chocolate Fountains.

The girl and her court were welcomed into the room and performed a group dance to the Titanic theme song. The birthday girl was dressed in a beautiful hot pink gown and her court in gold gowns.

The DJ provided great music with a large screen in the corner of the room which played video of the evening. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, and speeches the remainder of the evening. Thanks to C & G Catering Creations for their setup and staffing as well as Liz Flowers for the decoration and centerpieces!

This past Saturday we hosted a wedding ceremony and reception in our South Ballrooms. The event began at 6pm with the 240 guests gathering in the entry hall for a cocktail hour where they enjoyed two bars and passed hors d'oeuvres. After the cocktail hour the guests entered the grand ballroom and took their seats at their tables. Once everyone was seated the bride and groom entered into the ballroom and were married in front of their close friends and family. The bride and groom's first dance took place after the ceremony and then the reception began.

In the grand ballroom the bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table that was raised and had a gorgeous backdrop. The guest tables had white linens with teal napkins and the centerpieces were crystal lamps at some tables and then tall vases with white and red orchids at the others. The atmosphere of the room was accented by the blue up lights which as the night went on turned to red.

The dinner buffet was in the small ballroom and the menu consisted of Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Balti, Methi Malal Matter, Aloo Palak, Kadal Paneer, and Dal Makhahani. The small ballroom was also used for the dessert stations which included traditional Indian desserts such as Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai, and accompanied by tea and coffee. the guests also enjoyed the four tiered wedding cake that was decorated in the teal and red color theme.

On a beautiful Sunday morning, 300 guests arrived at Foxchase Manor to celebrate a young girl's Voneelu. The morning started off with traditional Indian sweets and appetizers consisting of chick pees, naan, lamb and a couple of vegetarian dishes. After the family took turns performing dances for the young girl, everyone enjoyed a lunch from an enormous buffet filled with all kinds of Indian cuisine from the restaurant Touch. The Grand Ballroom was decorated with many orange, red and pink fabrics. The stage had a special swing for the young girl, and there was a red carpet going down the Grand Ballroom to the dance floor. The entry hall had decorative statues and white flowers. The family enjoyed a full day of music, food and dancing.

What a beautiful night in Leesburg for a rehearsal dinner. 150 guests arrived to a entry hall decorated with gold elephant statues. The tables are decorated with a red and gold decorative overlay, white votive candles and red and gold centerpieces. A beautiful favor flown in directly from India awaits each guest. Aroma Restaurant has set up an incredible buffet full of scrumptious Indian dishes. The entire small ballroom is set up with a dance floor so the happy couple can dance the night away with their guests. Congratulations!

The entire staff of Foxchase Manor and Rose Hill Manor had a delicious dinner at Bombay Bistro in Fairfax, Va on Tuesday evening. Amara from Elegant Decor and Carmen from C & G Catering Creations joined us for a fun night.

Bombay Bistro is one of the many caterers that clients of Foxchase Manor and Rose Hill Manor can choose for their party. Bombay Bistro has a wide variety of cuisine on their menu and can cater to most places in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

On Saturday, October 23, 2010, 500 guests gathered into our South Ballrooms for a wedding celebration. Guests enjoyed cocktails out on the patio and in the grand entry hallway. The reception room was decorated with tables in pink linen with a sheer gold overlay. Tall floral arrangements decorated the center of each table.

A large stage was the center of the room which was decorated in beautiful, colorful linens and floral arrangements all provided by Liz Flowers. The bride and groom as well as their immediate family sat at a long head table on the stage. Speeches were given and two large screens were on each side of the room which displayed photos of the couple and family.

A large cake in the shape of the Taj Mahal was on display in front of the stage.

A buffet provided by Chowpatty was setup in the small ballroom featuring traditional indian cuisine. C&G Catering Creations did a great job with the setup and staffing the event.

What a fabulous day and fun event! Nancy Craun and her team did a wonderful job organizing the Blue Ridge Bridal Show held at Rose Hill Manor. The event was a huge success with lots of brides sampling delicious food from Amphora Catering and Cakes by Happy Eatery, trying on gorgeous dresses from Potomac Bridals, winning incredible prizes and visiting lots of different vendors to help create their perfect wedding.

Sandals Resorts was on hand with a presentation about their incredible honeymoon packages. Winc 92.5 FM was broadcasting live from the event. Brides had the chance to visit photographers, wedding planners, representatives from bed and breakfasts, hotels and limo companies, view handbags and see a Tupperware line. Mary Kay cosmetics and Slumber Parties by Tiffany were some other fun vendors. Melle Fleur's floral designs were beautful highlighting gorgeous fall colors. The DJ kept the event going with some great music.

Rose Hill partnered with Amphora Bakery and Catering, Bollywood Bistro and Classic Creations Photography and gave away a prize of a fun afternoon for three couples. The day will start off with a cake decorating class at Amphora Bakery while sampling hors d'oeuvres and a signature cocktail from Amphora Catering. Then the couples will head over to Bollywood Bistro for a delicious lunch or dinner. Classic Creations Photography will be on hand capturing the whole day. Congratulations to the three lucky winners.

A wedding ceremony and reception took place on Saturday in our north ballrooms . As the 200 guests arrived for they were served warm apple cider before they proceeded to the outdoor patio where the ceremony took place. Afterwards everyone entered into the entry hall for a cocktail hour. Guests were served seasonal drinks such as pumpkin flavored martinis and dined on stationed hors d'oeuvres which consisted of: a fresh fruit display with seasonal fresh fruit and berries, a tiered brie display with cranberry, pear, and pesto glazed brie. Waiters also served mini crab cakes, iced spice shrimp, and roasted butternut squash soup with fresh chervil shooters.

Later on after the cocktail hour the reception began in the grand ballroom. Guests were seated at round and square tables that were covered with ivory satin linens and the tables had different jewelled toned napkins, wine glasses, and centerpieces. Each table had matching colored chair covers around them. Instead of table numbers the bride and groom opted to have each table named after a different gems. Once the guests had found their seats it was time for the bride and groom to make their grand entrance and as they entered the ballroom in front of cheering family and friends they walked to the dance floor where they danced their first dance to Sinatra's "Fly with Me". The happy couple then took their seats along with the rest of the bridal party at the head table.

During the reception part of the small ballroom was used as the kids area where the children could play while babysitters were able to provide activities for them. The other part of the small ballroom was used for the dinner and later on the dessert buffet. For dinner guests were able to enjoy a grilled vegetable salad, filet mignon, orecchiette pasta, green beans with caramelized onions, and a smashed and mashed potato martini bar. Later in the evening when it was time for dessert the guests were treated to wedding cake and an ice cream sundae bar. Each layer of the wedding cake had a different lavish flavor: one layer was French vanilla cake filled with Dulce de Leche, another was almond cake filled with mandarin orange mouse, another was a lemon zest cake with orange mouse filling, and another was orange cake with a maraschino cherry cream cheese frosting. After dessert it was time for the everyone to get back to the party and back to celebrating the wedding of a wonderful couple.

On Sunday, October 18, 2010, around 200 guests gathered in our North Ballrooms to celebrate a wedding reception. The entry hallway had a picture of the bride and groom that guests were able to sign and send their well wishes.

Guests were welcomed into the grandballroom where a large stage was the focal point. A red carpet aisle lined the room and at the end was the state decorated in beautiful white, gold and teel linens. Two white and gold chairs were on the stage with pillars and floral arrangements and uplights. The groom's family was introduced into the room first. Once everyone sat down, the groom and family were introduced on stage, then followed by the bride's family, and then the bride and groom. The bride and groom took many photos with their family and guests while guests enjoyed a buffet in the small ballroom provided by Ariana Afgan.

Tables were decorated in white linens with gold napkins. The buffet featured appetizers of chickpeas, and a fruit platter. Guests enjoyed music by Lucky with Platinum; decoration by Yaadein and day of coordination by Dragonfly Events & Design.

On Saturday October 16th we held a wedding ceremony and reception in our North ballrooms for over 150 guests. The wedding began in the small ballroom where the ceremony which took place under a canopy decorated with fall flowers and a string quartet provided the accompaniment. After the ceremony the guests then enjoyed a cocktail hour in the entry hall before entering into the grand ballroom for the reception.

The grand ballroom was completely draped in a luxurious sheer fabric and was accented with uplighting which set the atmosphere for the event. The guests sat at tables with orange linens and the centerpieces were tall fall themed floral arrangements. The bridal party sat at large square table with chocolate linens and the canopy from the ceremony was placed around the table. The bride and groom danced their first dance which began with the Addams Family theme song and then lead into a song by Babyface. The guests dined on a menu which included a first course of a pear and walnut salad with Gorgonzola, an entree of balsamic glazed beef medallions and Szechuan sea bass, which was served with parsley-butter red potatoes and roasted asparagus with feta. For dessert the guests enjoyed decadent wedding cake served with seasonal berries soaked in Grand Marnier and topped with whipped cream.

On Saturday, October 16, 2010, around 85 guests gathered at Rose Hill Manor to witness a wedding ceremony and reception of a lovely couple.

Guests were welcomed into the small ballroom for the wedding ceremony. Guests were seated in white wood chairs with the bride and groom being the center of the windows. A unity candle decorated with red maple leaves sat on a table with dove statues. A harpist played music while a friend sang.

Bridesmaids were dressed in long, dark plum colored strapless satin ballgowns with a pick-up and sash in matching color. Groomsmen had matching plus vests and ties. The bride wore a long satin A-line halter with split front style, beaded lace, and lace up back. The dress was white with the accent sash in dark plum to match the girls dresses.

Following the ceremony guests enjoyed drinks and hor d'oeurves in the entry hallway. After cocktail hour guests were welcomed into the grand ballroom where tables were decorated in truffle colored pin tuck linens with creame napkins. A lantern centerpiece with surrounding red and deep purple leaves and red berry arrangement surrounded. Votive candles which were monogrammed with the couples names and dates and maple leaves were surrounding the lanterns. At the end of the evening guests were welcomed to take home the centerpieces. At every table were placecards sitting in little mini brown maple leaf holders. A maple leaf bottle opener was placed at every chair as a favor.

The bride and groom danced their first dance to 'My Little Girl' by Tim McGraw. Following was the groom and mother dance to 'Over the Rainbow' by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. A special surprise dance for the bride's father and bride's sister followed.

Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner featuring beef tenderloin, chicken parm, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. Thanks to Shirley's Catering for providing the food.

A beautiful three tiered cake was made by Cake Panache. The cake was decorated with swiss dots and a deep purple ribbon on each layer with purple sugar rose petals on each layer. The cake was vanilla flavor with buttercreme and raspberry in the center.

Davis Deejays provided a mix of music ranging from hip hop to salsa. Guests enjoyed dancing the night away and wished the bride and groom off at the end of the evening to a limo ride.

A special thanks to all the vendors who helped make this wedding a great memory for the bride and groom. On Saturday, October 10, 2010 around 120 guests celebrated a beautiful wedding at Rose Hill Manor in Leesburg, Virginia. The ceremony took place our expansive patio under a perfect fall sky. ASJ Photography were on hand documenting the special day. Grabielismo Productions provided beautiful acoustic music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The guests had cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres provided by R & R Catering. The grand ballroom was the site of the dinner and was decorated with gorgeous fall colors of deep copper, burgundy, and gold. Each tablecloth was a different fall hue. Michael’s Florist created lovely floral arrangements of different colors of lilies at each table. R & R Catering’s dinner buffet featured beef, chicken, gourmet macaroni and cheese, house salad, green beans with almonds and mashed cauliflower. A coffee station was located in the entry hall. The cake was a gorgeous and delicious creation by Celebrations Cakes with different layers including red velvet. The groom’s cake was a round cake with a Boston Red Sox logo on it. The happy couple and their guests danced the night away to music provided by the deejay, Peter Gemma. Anne Portell of R&R Catering did a fantastic job of coordinating the wedding and reception and made sure everyone had a wonderful time! We wish the bride and groom a lifetime of happiness.

A wedding reception was held in our north ballrooms this past Sunday 10/10/10. The 100 guests arrived at 5pm for the cocktail hour which was located in the entry hall and featured a large bar, stationed appetizer tables, a photo booth, and a guitarist to help create the perfect atmosphere. During the cocktail hour and through the entire reception the guests were able to relax on the outdoor patio where the bride's aunt had created a lounge area using benches and tables of her own design.

After the cocktail hour the guests entered the grand ballroom for the reception. The room was decorated with different colorful paintings that the bride's aunt had done. The centerpieces were wooden houses that the bride and her bridesmaids had painted, and in each house the windows light up in different colors. The room was also transformed each half hour with different colored lighting, which every time the lights changed colors it gave the ballroom a different feel and look. The fun loving bride and groom sat at an amazing sweetheart table that was specially designed for them and it brought out the couple's personality.

For dinner the caterer had several different food stations setup in the small ballroom. Guests were able to choose what they wanted from a pasta station, carving station, and a Greek inspired station. For dessert the guests enjoyed a piece of the three tiered wedding cake.

The guests took pleasure in the colorful and fun theme of this reception and from the moment it began to the moment it ended you could tell how much each guest truly enjoyed the wedding. Everyone danced the night away until it was time to send their best wishes off with the bride and groom.

This past Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day for an outdoor wedding ceremony. The 250 guests took their seats outside to watch the happy couple exchange their vows under a beautiful fall arbor. The bride looked stunning in her lace dress with chocolate sash which matched the bridesmaid dresses.

After the ceremony a receiving line was formed and the bridal party was able to greet and thank the guests for coming before the guests entered the entry hall for a cocktail hour. While in the entry hall there were able to enjoy refreshing cocktails, an appetizer station, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a cookie station that friends and family had especially made for the wedding.

The party then moved into the grand ballroom where the room was transformed into an autumn wonderland. The couple's family and friends had joined together to help create all the decor, lighting, centerpieces, and even the favors which were homemade jars of jam. The room looked amazing and the atmosphere was both welcoming and festive.

On Saturday, October 2, 2010 around 200 guests gathered into our South Ballrooms to celebrate a wedding reception. The grand ballroom was decorated with black and white raised velvet damask linens with hot pink napkins. Matching black chivari chairs with hot pink cushions were at every table. Each table had a white, pink and purple floral arrangement varying in tall and short heights. Around the base of each vase were white votive candles. Pink uplights surrounded the ballroom walls and ceiling. Bridemaids bouquets were used to decorated the fireplace mantal.

The cake was a cupcake display with the top layer in white with black swirls to match the linens, and a monogrammed cake topper. There was also a fire truck cake on a table in hot pink linen. The small ballroom featured the buffet and dessert as well as a coffee station and chocolate fountain. Food was provided by R&R Catering which featured beef, chicken, and mashed potoatoes.

The bride and groom had their first dance to 'At Last' by Etta James. The bride and groom made their exit to sparklers. Everyone had a wonderful time! We wish the bride and groom a lifetime of happiness!

On Saturday, October 2, 2010 around 200 guests gathered to our North Ballrooms to celebrate a wedding ceremony and reception. Guests were welcomed to the outdoor patio where the ceremony was being held. A beautiful white chuppha was the centerpiece of the patio which had hanging crystal and floral arrangements. Next to it was two pillars.

After the ceremony guests went into the entry hall for cocktails. Guests were greeted on their way into the room and signed in at a welcome table which also was the gift table. Appetizers of bacon wrapped scallops, chicken sutax, and fried shrimp cups were among the foods passed around the room.

The grandballroom is where all the guests sat for dinner. The room was decorated with uplighting. The bridal party sat at the front of the room at a head table. Tables were decorated with cream linens and a sheer overlay. The couple's cake topper was the couple and their son. A slide show played photos in the ballroom during the reception.

A bar was setup in the small ballroom and dinner was served by Zabb Catering. Guests enjoyed papya salad, mixed vegetable and tofu stirfry, crispy whole flounder with triple flavor sauce, drunken noodle (ground chicken), lobster with chili basil sauce, and assorted fruit. C&G Catering providing the staffing. Everyone had a wonderful time!

October 2, 2010 Rose Hill Manor

On Saturday, October 2, 2010 around 85 guests gathered to Rose Hill Manor to celebrate a wedding ceremony and reception. It was beautiful weather for this outdoor ceremony. Guests arrived and were taken to the outdoor patio by ushers where the cermony was to be held. A gift table was out along with a photo of the couple. Music was played and white wood chairs were lined up facing a beautiful white arbor which was decorated with two pink floral arrangements. The aisle was lined in pink rose petals. The ends of the aisle chairs were decorated with pink hanging pomanders.

The bridesmaids wore short, strapless silver dresses with hot pink shoes and a hot pink shawl. The bouquets were an arrangement of hot pink flowers. The flower girls wore white dresses with a silver sash and threw pink rose petals down the aisle. The bride was in a beautiful lace gown with an accented pink ribbon.

After the ceremony the bridal party went off to take photos while guests enjoyed a cocktail hour out on the patio. A bar and tall cocktail tables were setup along with tall, silver chivari chairs. Tall clear vases filled with pink water beads and a pink rose were placed on the cocktail tables with white votive candles. Hor d'oeurves were passed and drinks were served.

After cocktail hour guests moved into the grand ballroom and were seated for dinner. The bridal party made their entrance and the bride and groom went right into their first dance. The bridal party joined in halfway through the song.

Guests enjoyed different stations (provided by Better Events Catering) setup in the small ballroom which featured a carving station as well as a martini salad bar.

Cake provided by Chantel's Cakes was a three tier, round cake with silver ribbon around the base of each layer. It was a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and swiss dots. The top was light pink roses and pink rose petals around the base of the cake table.

Tables were decorated with a white underlay and a pink overlay with silver napkins and silver chivari chairs. Every table had a hot pink floral arrangement in a small, square vase surrounded by white votive candles. The bridal party sat at a head table of 14 people with the bride and groom in the center with silver ribbon ties on their chairs.

The entry hallway had a bar and a table set with a photo of the couple as well as a frame for guests to sign. Every guest took home a small picture frame which had different quotes framed inside. Guests were also welcome to take home the floral arrangements.

Guests enjoyed the remainder of the evening of lots of dancing. The DJ - Garza Entertainment - played a variety of music for guests to enjoy. He even had a spotlight which filled the ballroom with different colors. The bride and groom made their departure to bubbles.

Wedding planning and flowers were provided by Stephanie Hughes with Diamond Events. Thank you to each and every vendor who helped make this a successful and special day for the bride and groom. We wish them all the happiness life has to offer!

This past Saturday we had a wedding ceremony and reception for 200 guests on our South side. The guests arrived at 5pm for the wedding ceremony which took place on the outdoor patio. During the ceremony the groom started singing "My Girl" while all the groomsmen danced and sang backup which was quite sweet. Later on there was also a small traditional Korean ceremony which took place in the small ballroom.

After the ceremony the guests entered into the entry hall for a cocktail hour which was decorated in navy blue and silver. The cocktail hour included two bars, cabaret tables, an escort card table, and appetizer tables all in silver linens.

After the cocktail hour the guests entered into the grand ballroom for the reception. The guest seating tables were covered in royal blue linens and a lime green napkin was placed at each setting which accented the linens and centerpieces perfectly. The floral centerpieces were very colorful and included yellow and orange daisies, light pink lilies, and orange roses. Each centerpiece was surrounded by votives and a bottle of wine was placed at each table. The bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table in front of the french doors and were surrounded by beautiful flowers. The guests dined on a plated dinner by The Chef's Table caterers.

On Sunday we held a wedding celebration for 300 guests in our North Ballrooms. The women were seated in the grand ballroom and the men were seated in the small ballroom. All the guests were seated at tables with cream linens which had a satin sheen, and each table had a different centerpiece. The centerpieces were actually designed and arranged by the groom's sister and family. Some of the centerpieces featured candles and others different flowers. Elegant Decor setup the room and provided all the equipment and staff for the evening.

Shortly after the guests arrived the appetizers were served in each ballroom. The appetizers consisted of Papri Chaat and Seekh Lamb Kabobs. The guests enjoyed the appetizers while mingling before the bride arrived. Once the bride arrived, looking beautiful in a green gown, she entered the grand ballroom on a red carpet covered with rose petals and she then took her place on the risers which had also been decorated by the groom's family. The guests were able to take pictures with the bride and the family.

The guests dined on a dinner buffet which was created by Capitol Hill Tandoor and Grill. The menu consisted of Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Bisyani, Goat Korma, Tandoor Chicken, and Chara Masala, which was served with Naan. For dessert they served Rasmali and Gulab Jamun.
After dinner the groom joined his bride on the risers and everyone was able to get their pictures taken with the happy couple and their family. The evening ended with the guests giving their best wishes to the newlyweds.

This past Saturday we hosted a wedding ceremony and reception on our North side. Over 250 guests arrived to share in the wedding celebration. The ceremony took place on the outdoor patio. The bride looking elegant, walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon and met her groom. The happy couple was married under a white arch adorned in purple and white flowers. After the ceremony the guests proceeded into the entry hall for a cocktail hour where they dined on passed hors d'oeuvres and a gourmet cheese display.

The reception which was in the grand ballroom featured guest seating tables that were covered with periwinkle pintuck linens, while the family tables were covered with plum satin linens. The floral centerpieces included purple and white hydrangeas, sterling and Eskimo roses, bells of Ireland, and stock flowers. The wedding favors that were placed at each setting were picture frames for the adults and candy for the children. The children also enjoyed an activity table in the small table which featured coloring books and stickers.

For dinner the guests dined on Waldorf Astoria salad, filet mignon, classic chicken piccata, haricot verts, and a mixed potato gratin. For dessert, everyone enjoyed wedding cake that was served with fresh berries, assorted cheesecakes, and chocolate chip and amaretto biscotti along with a coffee station. The food was amazing and afterwards the guests enjoyed dancing the night away.

Some of the vendors that helped make the wedding a success were Main Event Caterers, Dragonfly events and Design, The Flower Gallery of Manassas, and Still Creation photographers.

On Friday, September 24, 2010 guests celebrated a wedding celebration at Foxchase Manor's North Ballrooms. Guests were welcomed into the entry hallway with a red and green umbrella stand with floating candles and rose petals at the base. A table was setup with a display of red and green cupcakes with a large votive candle display behind it. Off to the side was a candy bar with little bags for guests to fill up with candy.

The small ballroom was setup for the men which was decorated in white linen with green napkins. The small ballroom had their own buffet for dinner. The grand ballroom was setup for the women which was beautifully decorated in green linens with red napkins. There was a large mandap decorated in red and green linens with red chairs for the bride. A long red carpet aisle went down the center of the ballroom. Every table had a centerpiece of red tulips in a vase filled with lemon wedges.

Guests enjoyed a buffet from Bombay Cafe and cupcakes for dessert. Prayers were said and people mingled throughout the night. The couple took photos and received many blessings from their friends and family. A great time was had by all!

Bridal Open House South Ballrooms

On Wednesday, September 22, 2010 guests were invited to attend a Free Bridal Tasting and Open House hosted by Dragonfly Events & Design, featuring food from New Age Catering. Past clients, potential and booked clients were welcomed into our South Ballrooms to try the foods of New Age Catering as well as talk to some local vendors from the area.

Vendors included the following: Dragonfly Events & Design - Event planning; New Age Catering; Cakes by Happy Eatery; Classic Creations - photography; Hitkickers DJ; floral arrangements and centerpieces by Dever's Design; Perfect Honeymoons; Dharma-Events - decoration, DJ, sound, lighting, photography, videography; Capitol Chocolate Fountains; Kate Hazzard Rogers - Harpist; Isabella Bastien - makeup artist; and equipment by Elegant Decor and DC Rental.

Our entry hallway had a table setup in red and white linens with Kate Hazzard Rogers who was playing beautiful music on her harp.

The grand ballroom was setup with a large square bar in the center of the ballroom which had different colored glasses set up and had a bartender pouring beverages for guests. Around the room were different vendor booths setup displaying their services. Hitkickers DJ played music while Dharma-Events had several uplights and spotlights in different colors as well as lights illuminating on the ceiling. New Age Catering provided samplings of some spanish chicken, couscous, mango salmon, spinach tortillini, and a tray of fruits and cheeses, as well as some passed hor d'oeurves.

Capitol Chocolate Fountains featured a milk chocolate fountain with some dippings including pineapple, marshmallows, cake balls, strawberries and a crowd pleaser - cream puffs.

A special thank you to Cakes by Happy Eatery who provided two cakes (one chocolate with ganache icing) and another (vanilla cake with strawberry mousse and whipped cream). They were unable to make it to the event because they were working at a cancer benefit but we appreciate their time and effort in making the cakes and bringing two beautiful display cakes as well.

Tables were setup in different colored linens with different colored chivari chairs and cushions while Devers Design had different centerpieces on each table.

Gretchen Wade with Dragonfly Events & Design was there to offer her expertise advice on wedding planning and design.
