June 26, 2010 South Ballrooms

On Saturday evening we held a wedding reception for 400 guests in our south ballrooms. The guests arrived and enjoyed cocktails and appetizers in the entry hall before entering the grand ballroom for the reception. The bridal party was seated at a head table in front of the 40 guest tables. The tables were draped in both mango pintuck linens and pink satin linens with coral overlays. The centerpieces were color roses in short vases and then also tall floral arrangements which included orange lilies, roses, daisies, and sunflowers. The ballroom looked gorgeous in these bright summer colors.

The reception started with speeches from the bride and groom's family and friends. The groom even told a touching story of how the he met his new wife and how much he loves her.

The dinner buffet was in the small ballroom. The buffet featured traditional Sierra Leonean cuisine provided by Martha's Kitchen and also Celebrations Catering created a menu which was inspired by the ingredients found in Sierra Leon. In the middle of the buffet was a beautiful floral arrangement.

Guests enjoyed the remainder of the evening eating cake, dancing and socializing. All had a great time. It was a beautiful day and we wish the best for the bride and groom!
