June 25, 2010 North Ballrooms

This past Friday we held a wedding ceremony and reception in our North ballrooms. The ceremony took place on the outdoor patio under a perfectly clear blue sky. The bride and groom who were high school sweethearts, stood in front of a white arch which the florist (Flower Gallery of Manassas) decorated with blue and white hydrangeas. After the ceremony the bridal party gathered for pictures while the 180 guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the entry hall.

The planner (Dragon Fly Events & Design) coordinated the event and designed the look for the wedding. The reception was held in the grand ballroom which was decorated in different shades of greens and blues. The 18 guest tables were beautiful with slate blue linens and cream napkins, and gold rimmed wine glasses helped to create the elegant table scape. The centerpieces at some tables were tall vases filled hydrangea, fuji, and delphiniums, while other tables had round vases with floating candles. The room was accented with different color lighting throughout the evening which helped create a enchanting atmosphere. The bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table overlooking all their loved ones. The guests enjoyed a dinner buffet in the small ballroom created by New Age Caterers. Afterwards they finished the night off with dancing and celebrating the new marriage.

Many of the tables had spotlights on the centerpieces
