July 31, 2010 North Ballrooms

On Saturday July 31, 2010 we held a wedding reception for 200 guests in our north ballrooms. The evening began in the entry hall with a cocktail hour. The guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres like chicken satay and shrimp while listening to the soft sounds of an acoustic guitarist. The bar which featured an ice sculpture of a pair of hearts served mango martinis which was the signature cocktail for the evening.

The grand ballroom was decorated in shades of lilac and yellow for the reception. The guest tables had lilac pintuck linens, gold chargers, purple wine glasses, and hershey kiss favors at each setting. The centerpieces were tall floral arrangements with large white calla lilies, yellow lilies, purple irises, and larkspur flowers. The bridal party sat at a head table in front of all the guests. The bride and groom made their grand entrance into the reception in a unique and sweet way; the groom pulled his bride into the grand ballroom in a red wagon. The guests enjoyed a beautifully plated dinner created by Catering by Uptown. Afterwards the guests danced to their favorite hits played by Hitkickers DJs. All the event details were orchestrated wonderfully by Dragon Fly Events & Design who coordinated the reception.

Congratulations to the happy couple and their families!
