July 31, 2010 South Ballrooms

This past Saturday July 31st we hosted a wedding ceremony and reception in our south ballrooms. The event began with the Baraat which is a traditional Indian processional where the groom arrives on horse followed by his family and friends and they are greeted by the bride's family. Afterwards everyone enters the small ballroom for the Hindu wedding ceremony. The mandap was decorated with beautiful hanging strings of fresh flowers. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the entry hall and outdoor patio. In the entry hall there was a photo booth (by Shutter Booth), appetizer tables, and wine bottles that the guests could sign for the bride and groom to enjoy on their anniversary. On the outdoor patio the guests were able to socialize in the beautiful sunshine while enjoying appetizers and cocktails.

The event then moved into the grand ballroom for the reception. The room looked absolutely amazing in shades of pink and orange. There were paper lanterns that were draped across the dance floor which was surrounded by rectangular guest tables. There were also round guest tables were spread around the room with pink and orange linens. Some tables had green flowers set in vases filled with red marbles for centerpieces, while other tables had different sized round arrangements made of different green, pink, and orange flowers which tied the color scheme together. The room that Nivanjoli designed and decorated had a summer feel to it while also being very modern and chic.

The bride and groom entered the reception to "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas which set mood for the rest of the evening. The dinner buffet was in the small ballroom next to the stage. Guests dined on traditional Indian cuisine for dinner which was provided by Bombay Tandoor. After dinner some of the bride and groom's family members toasted the happy couple before the cake cutting. The rest of the reception was spent dancing and celebrating until it was time for the guests to send the bride and groom off with best wishes.

The servers and bartenders were all from C&G Catering Services who did an amazing job through out the event and also did all the setup of the tables and chairs. Ritzy Bee Events coordinated the event and made sure everything was perfect and everyone was having a great time.

The event was wonderful and we wish the newlyweds a lifetime filled with happiness and love.
