On Sunday, September 12, 2010, around 200 guests gathered in our North Ballrooms to celebrate a wedding reception. Guests were welcomed into the entry hallway to a guest book and feather pen where guests would write their well wishes to the bride and groom.
The entry hallway was setup with a beverage station where there was a juice fountain which changed colors and coffee. Another table in the center of the room had several fruit flower arrangements, and platters of cheeses and crackers. A gift table with a card box and party favors for each guest were miniature cups and plates with the couples photo on them. Another placecard table decorated with a large floral arrangement was setup, as well as a table with more chips, cheeses and crackers along with a candy station with little take home bags that guests could take home. Guests mingled and listened to the sounds of a live band during the cocktail hour.
The grand ballroom was beautifully decorated with tables decorated in white underlays with white and gold overlays. Each place setting had a gold charger with a program of the evenings events on each place setting. Gold napkins were placed in a fan fold shape inside each water glass. The gold chavari chairs were decorated with gold and rust orange-ish ribbons. A head table of 14 people was at the center of the room, bride and groom seated in the center.
Tall cylinder vases filled with water and a lilly inside and a floral mix of baby's breath, yellow and pink-ish flowers topped the vases. Every table name was named after words of encouragement and about relationships like 'love', 'romantic', and 'beauty' were among a few of the table names. The floral arrangement on the headtable said 'love birds'.
The bridal party was each introduced individually into the ballroom. Bridesmaids wore a peach-ish colored dress with a black sash.
A buffet was served in the small ballroom which consisted of chicken, beef, asparagus, and salad. Guests enjoyed music throughout dinner by a live two piece band. The remainder of the evening guests danced the night away to songs by a DJ who lit up the ballroom with different colors of strobe lights.
Everyone had a wonderful evening!
